Central Park Stonework

The restoration of the Central Park stonework is incredible. Formerly headless birds carved from English limestone are singing again. I'm not sure this painting does justice to the skill of the stone masons who carved these beautiful scenes, but on your next trip into the depths of the park, stop and take another look. The carvings are on either side of the Victorian Steps at the end of the long Allee. I recommend.
